Fearlessly Red!
Kokie Fearless
It's been a long time it seems, since I reached for a red polish. Kokie Fearless is a classic red creme that leans towards orange and is pin up girl worthy! The formula is sheer, but has an excellent consistency that applies smoothly. I am wearing three coats but as you can tell from the pictures my nail line was still visible. I find that most of the reds that are on the orange side of the fence are frequently sheer like this whereas the ones that lean blue tend to be more opaque. I really don't mind seeing that bit of transparency in my polish but if that is something that gets to you maybe you might try applying a nude base. Three coats with top coat in the picture above.
I got thinking about what a great red this would be for Valentines day. Yes I know it's over a month away but I would rather be early than late, and lets be honest who doesn't love Valentines Day. Besides, Fearless was already on my nails and it was so pretty I had to play. I added a flowery vines pattern in black, then repeated the same stamp again in silver and sealed it all in with top coat.
I sometimes feel a little guilty when I am painting my nails, because occasionally I remember that I'm an adult and wonder if I should be having this much fun painting my nails? You should enjoy painting your nails! If you are not, than you are doing something wrong and it might be time to take a step back and figure things out. I find that doing my nails is relaxing and a really enjoy wearing a pretty manicure. I think most of you probably do as well if you are here reading about polish.
