It's the perfect time of the year to add bling, to everything!
Kokie Cocktail Party
I love a good teal because just like a classic red it's never out of season. Kokie Cocktail Party is an edgy metallic take on this color with a dusting of fine silver particles. I'm always a little apprehensive when it comes to metallic polishes because they can be extremely unforgiving. No matter how pretty the color is, if it is full of brush marks that is all I can see and that mani must go. The formula for Cocktail Party has a great consistency and was easy to work with. It leans a bit blue which I found to be very appealing. It took two coats for opacity and dried to a smooth finish. With my naked eye I could see minimal brush strokes, not enough to bother me and I get a little OCD about these kinds of things. I added top coat to this picture and I think that might have brought out the brush marks a bit. In person I could barely tell they were even there.
The little bits of silver are a very nice touch. It gives Cocktail Party a bit of extra bling while keeping it subtle. Since I am not the greatest at keeping it subtle I went ahead and stamped some silver tips on because I'm a little addicted to all things shiny. Mr Nailvanna just tonight mentioned something about me being a magpie... I found nothing shocking about this. It's the perfect time of the year to add bling, to everything! I am very glad it's Friday. It's bitter cold outside and the wind is just howling. We are going to spend some quality time at home this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it.
