The Gift That Keeps On Giving!
butter London Jack The Lad
I dug deep in my stash for butter London Jack The Lad. This was originally released as part of a holiday collection in 2012 and it has been awhile since I pulled it out to wear it. I was reminded of it recently when one of my girlfriends mentioned she just picked up a bottle at Winners. I love this darkened evergreen Christmas glitter! I can't believe I had forgotten about it. It has a sprinkling of gold and blue glitter in there as well that flashes at you occasionally, making this a great choice for the holidays. The formula was a bit thinner than most glitter formulas. Quite often something this glitter packed can be a little difficult to work with because it can be quite thick. I had an easy time applying it though. It took me three coats to reach opacity. I applied top coat for the pictures but it dries down to a smooth foil like finish on it's own. I should also mention that the brush is on the skinny side. I typically prefer them this way giving me more control over my application.
I played around a bit but I felt that I much preferred Jack the Lad without any adornments. He is handsome all on his own! I stamped a few gold snowflakes on top but I removed them promptly after taking the picture. Mini me thought we should try the gold snowflakes at least once... and so we did. Removal was a fairly typical glitter polish experience. So it takes a minute or two longer than a creme polish to get it off your nails. I soaked my nails in a little bowl with acetone for a minute and than used an old makeup brush to gently scrub it off my nails. Easy and painless. You should try it! just don't forget to moisturize thoroughly afterwards. If you come across Jack The Lad this holiday season you should scoop it up! It's a gift that keeps on giving.
