Strong, Brilliant, Holo!
Girly Bits Auld Langs Wyne
I looked out my living room window and found that winter has arrived. Snow was quietly falling and coating everything in a glittering layer of white. I want holo nails tomorrow I thought to myself. When most people think about having to get up a bit earlier in the morning, to perhaps clean the car off, or make sure the kids are properly dressed in snow pants and boots. I am planning my manicure. Alright so I did set out the winter gear for the kids before I began working on my nails, I do like the little terrors after all. I chose Girly Bits Auld Langs Wyne , a muted burgundy wine linear holo. To get your hands on this one you might have to search a bit as it is retired but it's going to be worth the effort. Auld Langs Wyne was originally released as a part of the Holiday 2013 Collection and has been a favorite winter polish of mine.
The holo is strong and brilliant which makes taking off the gloves to get a look at this beauty worthwhile, even if the wind nips at your fingertips. It has a great formula that is smooth and consistent. I applied two coats and a layer of top coat for the above pictures.
I only realized after I had started that my black stamping polish is just about on it's last few uses but instead of stopping and having to redo my manicure completely I decided to keep going. My focus was mostly on Auld Langs Wyne. I had several chances to inspect it in the sun and was not disappointed. It's still a perfect color for this time of year and maybe if we are lucky it will come out of retirement one day. Hopefully it will be before I make my way through my backup bottle. This is one of the very few polishes that I had to have a back up for, and I regret nothing. Hope you are all keeping your fingers and toes toasty warm and I'll see you all back here tomorrow.
