Barbie Pink!
Kokie Strawberry Daiquiri
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month here and I could not let it go by without acknowledging it. Kokie Strawberry Daiquiri from the Rapidgel line was my choice of pink for this occasion and I could not have made a better choice. Perfect Barbie pink with a great formula. Easy to apply smoothly and evenly but it is a little on the sheer side so I applied three coats for opacity. I gave my nails a few minuted to dry in between coats and since my heat is on and it's toasty warm in here I kept a close eye out for those dreaded bubbles. They never did come, but what I noticed was how shiny my polish was staying. My first picture is just Strawberry Daiquiri naked. Not a drop of top coat after it has dried. It's is so glossy still that my nails look wet. Got to love that!
Before adding top coat I stamped a pattern over it in black using some stamping polish. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about raising awareness of breast cancer, it’s about taking action to save lives. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and it could be any woman in your life, your sister,mother, spouse of best friend because cancer does not discriminate. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its causes and prevention. Wearing pink is an easy way to show your support or even better to participate in fundraisers and volunteer. There are many charities out there seeking a little extra help in making a difference in the lives of those dealing with breast cancer.
