She Blinded Me With Science
Formula X Alchemy II
I may be looking for a little break from green after all that St. Patrick's day business and Formula X Alchemy II from Sephora fit the bill while still leaving me bling fulfilled. It's a lovely rose gold metallic/foil polish that has a smooth formula that leaves nothing for me to pick at. Metallic polishes are usually plagued by issues of brush strokes being visible but I did not have too much of that issue with Alchemy II. Up close you can see tiny flecks of gold, pink and blue that give the polish it's lovely rose gold color. Pigmentation is solid, I used two coats to reach opacity. In the picture above I am showing you the polish with top coat but I am thinking I may have been better off to skip it as I did with Tantalize. Shocking I realize but I feel that it may have looked a little bit nicer without it. This is the second time I have suggested skipping the top coat in one week so maybe I'm getting sick?. Top coat prolongs the life of your mani and protects the polish you have carefully applied. Skipping it seems somehow against the grain. I suggest playing around with it and see what works best for you and the polish of your choice. What do you think?
