Starry-Eyed for Dear Daniel

Now this is my kind of glitter polish! You remember how I was saying yesterday that I play that little game of who would wear this? Jem! As in Jem and the Holograms. It's from the Hello Kitty collection by OPI released for spring 2016 available right now. OPI polishes are 3 Free(No Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, and Formaldehyde).

Pinks never used to rate high on my list of favorite colors. Then I had a daughter who, like most little girls, loves all things pink...and yes Hello Kitty too. She has definitely brought me around so I am more receptive to them. This one though would have stopped me in my tracks even if I did not warm up to pinks. It looks just as dazzling on as it does in the bottle. I am considering purchasing a back up just in case! Fine fuchsia glitter that applies like a dream. If you use a thin coat you could probably use it as a topper but 2 coats covered easily. Bring on the full bling! Glitter polish is usually a little bit rough so it requires more top coat than a creme polish would. Surprisingly this one is not a top coat eater. It does have a bit of a gritty texture to it but being so jam packed full of glitter I really was expecting to need reach for a heavier top coat that would smooth things out. Turns out it wasn't necessary. It dried fast and mostly smooth so my regular quick dry was sufficient. Wearing two coats of Starry-Eyed for Dear Daniel with top coat.
