Revlon French Roast
Revlon French Roast reminds me more of milk chocolate than coffee but that could be my sweet tooth talking. It's a beautiful brown from the Colorstay line with a slight shimmer to it. In the bottle the shimmer appears a lot more substantial than it actually appears on your nails but it is still slightly visible. The formula I found quite pleasant to work with and the wide brush that comes with this line of polish gave me no issues at all. I applied two layers of polish and added top coat. It's a pretty color for a fall mani.
I was really looking forward to the shimmer from French Roast but it was only slightly visible when you have a decent light source. I just could not let it go. In the bottle you can see blues and gold and pinks but on the nails that rainbow is sadly lost. I thought about adding a layer of glitter but it was one of those days where I was a bit pressed for time so an accent nail it was. Just a simple leaf stamp with a pink polish. I certainly felt I had captured the feel of the season with French Roast. The question is would I recommend this polish? It's a pretty brown with a great formula so I would not discourage you from picking it up if you are looking for a nice fall brown. If you find yourself attracted to it because of the shimmer of the bottle I would recommend passing on it. You just can't win them all.
