OPI It's A Piazza Cake
I would never call persimmon my favorite color... ever! I will however try anything once, twice if I like it, three times to make sure. That's what happened here. I did not choose this color of my own accord. OPI It's A Piazza Cake caught Mr. Nailvanna's attention and since he is very supportive about my little nail polish habit the least I can do is play nice. Even if I had to grit my teeth. I found the formula to be very good. OPI has creating creme polishes down to a science. It self leveled and dried shiny and two coats covered perfectly. I did add top coat before taking the picture. I sat for a minute debating about what to do with this polish next? I was still not loving the color but it was growing on me....a little. I felt taking it off would be such a waste of a good polish and I was not about to do that either so I decided to pull out my stamper and play.
Elevation Polish Yeti Was A Shadow 2
I wanted something that was not plain or boring but did not distract from the fall feel of It's A Piazza Cake and Elevation Polish Yeti Was A Shadow 2 seemed like a good candidate. It is a holographic charcoal grey polish with a strong holo effect but I have never tried stamping with it. It was a good choice! For stamping purposes it worked exactly as I hoped it would and did not overpower the persimmon. The formula is as smooth as butter making the stamping easy and fast. The holo effect gives it a bit of a punch as well that spices it up. I have been so focused on other things lately that I have forgotten how quick and easy stamping can be. I used Born Pretty plate L008 with a jelly stamper. I added top coat before taking this picture. My son was kind enough to point out that today was the first day fall and my nail are definitely fitting for the season. Both of these polishes have great formulas and when combined create a completely fabulous fall mani!
